Visits at home are only available during the summer months of April – September. Visits away from home are available all year round. We are open Monday to Friday all day and evening including school holiday’s. We do have very limited availability at weekends.

Yes most definitely!

The donkeys love attention and children absolutely love the interacting with the donkeys. It’s a pleasure to see the smile it brings to even the smallest children. It’s worth taking into account that these are live animals and although they are used to children, due to being up close children need to be calm and respectful towards our donkeys.

For visits away from home, the donkeys can be in a petting pen and can also be brought out for children to interact with a small group at a time. For visits at home in the marquee, the donkeys will be wandering freely. We trust the judgment of parents as to whether this activity is suitable for their children having taken this into account.

Children up to 16 years old must be accompanied by at least one adult who is responsible for them.

Accidents do happen, albeit very rarely. We give an extensive health and safety briefing prior to any experiences, and you should follow the instructions given. We cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries that occur on our farm

Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing and shoes We recommend you wear several layers to allow you to adapt to the weather, and to bring a waterproof jacket. Although we will provide blankets and hot water bottles for these colder days.

Please bring appropriate footwear, as for health and safety reasons we may not be able to allow you to participate if you are not dressed suitably. Open-toed shoes such as sandals or flip flops are not allowed.

Small change is always handy if you wish to purchase soft drinks.

There is a disabled portaloo on site with hand sanitiser.

In the marquee, we have a portable sink with hot water and soap. We are a farm with live animals. We therefore have natural bacteria and parasites which in some circumstances may be harmful to a pregnancy. If you choose to participate in an experience, we recommend you wash your hands thoroughly after being around or touching the donkeys, especially before consuming food.

Sorry but dogs are NOT allowed on the farm.

I’m sorry but we do not cater to any allergies or dietary requirements. DO NOT order if you have any allergies. We use and work in a kitchen handling nuts, peanuts, gluten, soya, dairy, eggs and any other allergens.

Yes booking is essential. We do book up very quickly so its best to give as much notice as possible to get the date and time you require.

Donkeys are not waterproof so they dislike the rain as much as humans. Visits at home are in the marquee so it doesn’t affect the booking. We have blankets and hot water bottles at the ready for those colder days.

We do have a gazebo that we bring to visits. However if the weather is particularly poor for visits away from home then we will do our best to re-arrange. If the temperature reaches 40 degrees then we will have to re-arrange the booking, as it’s unsafe for our donkeys to travel. If any of our donkeys are unwell, stressed, injured or just a bit under the weather, we don’t put them on our experiences until they’re back to their normal friendly selves!

Please leave a contact number upon booking, this can be helpful if we need to re-arrange. If this is not possible then a full refund will be granted. Please be aware that, in these events, we cannot be held responsible for any extra costs (such as travel or accommodation).

We will do our best to extend the experience as much as possible but if we are fully booked this may not be possible. If you telephone advising of late arrival, we will do our best to help although this is not always possible if we have another booking. Late arrivals will not be able to get a refund or book for another day. It is the responsibility of the customer to arrive on time.

Please be aware that we operate a 48 hour (2 working days) cancellation and rescheduling policy. If you do not contact us before 48 hours we will be unable to move your experience. If you cannot reach us by phone (07810 885 917) please email us as soon as possible. For cancellations outside of 48 hours a voucher will be issued and no refunds will be given. We must uphold this policy under all circumstances.
